Prolab Nutrition Inc. is issuing a recall for several of their protein supplement products due to an undeclared allergen, according to recent news sources.
The products may contain wheat or gluten and people with sensitivities to Brazil nuts, cashews, chestnuts, eggs, hazelnuts, peanuts, pecans, pine nuts, tree nuts, sulfites and walnuts, or gluten allergens may be in serious danger of a life-threatening reaction if they ingest the products.
The products affected are the two and five pound containers of Advanced Pure Whey Protein, Pure Why, and Whey Isolate Protein in wild strawberry, milk chocolate, and vanilla crème flavors. The products have been sold in 34 states in the U.S., including California. They were also sold in Malaysia, Russia, Australia and Canada.
If you have purchased this product, you can return it to your store of purchase for a full refund.
As a product defect lawyer, consumer health is something that I am very conscious of and I know that even with tough rules and regulations on manufacturers mistakes can still be made. I encourage anyone who is experiencing an allergic reaction to seek immediate medical attention. The Los Angeles personal injury attorney at our law firm sincerely hopes that no one has been sickened by consuming the recalled protein supplement.
