A recall for off-road vehicles made by BB Buggies and Bad Boy Enterprises has been issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission due to a steering issue, according to recent news sources.
About 3,200 products are subject to recall. The CPSC has received 15 reports of the steering arm of the vehicle breaking, causing a loss of control. No injuries have been associated with this recall.
Previously, two recalls of these vehicles have been issued for other problems. Last month, the manufacturer paid a hefty fine to the CPSC for failing to report the incidents that they received news of from consumers.
Four models are affected by this recall. The Bad Boy LT, Classic, XT, XTI, and XT Safari models are the ones with the steering issue. The buggies come in camoflauge, hunter green, red and black and sold for about $7,000 to $15,000 at dealerships across the U.S.
Consumers who own this product should stop using it and contact their local dealer or Bad Boy Enterprises for a free replacement steering assembly.
As a Los Angeles personal injury attorney, safety is my number one priority. We know that even with all of the rules and regulation imposed on product manufacturers, things can still go wrong and sometimes companies even put profit before safety. If you or a loved one has been affected by a defective product please do not hesitate to call a product liability lawyer right away. The longer you wait the more chance you have of losing evidence for your potential product liability case.
