Marshall Group, in cooperation with the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, has issued a recall of their Bio-Fuel Gel due to a fire hazard, according to recent news sources.
About 39,000 products are subject to recall. The product was sold in home and garden stores, gift shops and online from November 2010 through August 2011 for $7.99 to $11.99.
The product is called Marshall Gardens PatioGlo Bio-Fuel Gel. The gel has shown to ignite without warning and transfer to nearby people and objects when being poured. The manufacturer has received four reports of the danger, resulting in three injuries that required treatment at a hospital.
The gel was sold in 32 oz. size plastic bottles. The label says “PatioGlo bio-fuel gel” or “Citronella PatioGlo”. Model numbers PG-32 and PGC-32 (Citronella) are affected by the recall. Consumers can return the bottles to their store of purchase for a full refund.
As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer, consumer safety is my number one priority. The lawyers at our firm know that even with all of the rules and regulations imposed on product manufacturers things can still go wrong and sometimes companies even put profit before safety. If you or a loved one has been affected by a dangerous product please do not hesitate to call a product defect lawyer right away. The longer you wait the more chance you have of losing evidence for your potential product liability case
