News from the National Food Safety and Inspection Service website state that a company from Burbank, California has allegedly issued a recall of 4,100 pounds of their ready-to-eat meals. The maker claims the products were prepared without the benefit of federal inspection.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that these food items may have been sold to various hospitals and airlines. Since the company can only operate under the FSIS inspection, whenever there aren’t any inspection personnel present, the manufacturing of meals cannot continue. Inspectors have noticed that there were meals produced when they weren’t present at the facility. According to the news there have been alleged reports of illness due to consumption of the items listed in their website.
The FSIS always perform rigid checks to make sure companies are notifying their consumers of their recalled products. A complete list of the products that have been recalled from this company can be found in our blog.
As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer I believe it’s my duty to notify the readers of this blog whenever there’s a dangerous case of food recall. Remember that in the case of a health issue related to the intake of food that wasn’t proper for the consumption you’re entitled to ask the advice of a product liability lawyer.
