Target has issued a recall of a children’s mask product because it lacks proper ventilation, according to recent news sources.
About 3,400 of the products are subject to recall. The mask is a Children’s Frog Mask that is primarily green and yellow with some red accents. There are two cutouts for eyes and the mask fastens around the childs face with an elastic band that goes across the back of the neck. The code 06626491474 is printed on a tag attached to the mask.
The mask is not well ventilated and thus poses a suffocation hazard to the wearer. No injuries have currently been reported.
The mask was sold at Target for about $1 from August to September of 2011. Consumers can return the masks to Target for a refund.
