Honda issues a Recall for 936,000 Vehicles

Posted on November 1, 2011

News sources report that Honda has issued a recall of 936,000 Fit and CR-V vehicles. After five different complaints regarding unexpected fires involving the 2006 Honda CR-V, the carmaker investigated the case and realized that the fires might have been the result of a design flaw that damage the electrical contacts and raise the likelihood of conflagration.

Software problems have reportedly been the problem with the CR-Z models. Transmission is allegedly affected by the issue and may put the vehicles in under great risk of rotation in an opposite direction from the transmission gear. Honda has reported that a simple installation of another software could solve this problem.

Reports from various news sources show that there were no major injuries related to these two vehicles accounted by their owners to date. The Japanese car company has stated that they’re working hard to fix all the issues related these two models.

As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer I urge all of you to drive responsibly so mistakes performed on the road won’t represent deadly risks to you or anybody else. Technical issues however are unfortunately very common. Don’t hesitate in contacting a Los Angeles car accident lawyer if you or a loved one has ever been the victim of a vehicle crash or any other car related accident.
