According to news sources, about 4,140 pounds of Boneless Oven Roasted Chicken Breasts have been recalled after a lab sample showed that possible Listeria contamination.
The company, House of Raeford Farms, has announced the voluntary recall in cooperation with the U.S Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service after the Listeria monocytogenes contamination was found in a laboratory sample. The recalled chicken have an establishment number P-239A, which can be located inside the USDA mark of inspection. The recalled products were packaged on September 27, 2011 and have a product code 94268.
There have been no illnesses reported to date.
