According to news sources, a recall has been issued for about 1,600 units of Blake Bed Frames after it was found that a gap between the footboard’s top rail and the mattress can end up posing an entrapment hazard for a child or infant.
The company, The Land of Nod, announced the recall after the firm reportedly received a report of an incident involving a child being entrapped in the gap between the mattress and the footboard’s top rail. The child was safely removed and there have been no reports of injury to date. The recalled bed frames have the words “Blake” and “The Land of Nod” printed on a barcode sticker which can be located on the headboard.
Consumers with the recalled bed frames should take them away from children and return them to the point of purchase for a free replacement. For additional questions regarding the recall, contact the company directly at (800) 933-9904.
