According to news sources, a recall has been issued for about 28,000 units of Bumbleride Indie & Indie Twin Strollers after it was found that the front wheels could possibly break and therefore cause the stroller to tip.
The company, Bumbleride Inc., announced the recall in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission after the problem with the front wheels breaking at the axle hub was discovered. The recalled stroller models include I-107, I-110 and I-205, all of which were manufactured between January 2009 through August 2011.
There have been two reports of minor injuries to date, with about 36 incidents involving the front wheel breaking in total.
Consumers with the recalled strollers should stop using them and contact the company at (800) 530-3930 to receive a free retrofit kit for the front wheel.
