The most recent Canadian beef recall due to potential E. coli contamination continues to affect food distributors in the United States of America, as this most recent ground beef recall proves.
Seattle-headquartered food distributor Sysco Food Services has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 16,800 pounds of beef due to a potential E. Coli contamination. The affected products were imported into the United States by Sysco to its Blaine distribution center for distribution in Colorado, Arizona, Texas, and Washington state.
The recall comes after a public health alert issued by the United States Department of Agriculture prompted by a warning from the Canadian Food Inspection Agencies.
The American products distributed by Sysco that are affected by this recall include:
10 pound boxes of 8 ounce Prime Rib Beef Patties, with production code 11 NO 22, and product code 55317
10 pound boxes of 71 gram Prime Rib Beef Patties with product code 55391 and a production code of 11 SE 01 or 12 JA 04
Sysco has already begun notifying consumers of this recall.
As a San Bernardino personal injury lawyer, I sincerely hope that this recall is carried out effectively before anyone is made ill by this potential E. coli contamination. If you or someone you love or care about has been made ill by a contaminated food product, I urge you to consider discussing the details of your case with an experienced Ventura personal injury lawyer.
