Several brands of taco dinner kits sold at grocery stores across the United States have been voluntarily recalled due to the undeclared presence of a milk product, according to a statement issued by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Consumers with severe food allergies or lactose intolerance may become serious ill or suffer a potentially lethal allergic reaction if they accidentally consume a product containing a milk product.
The names of the taco kits containing the milk product not listed on their roduct label include the following: Kroger Taco Dinner Kit, 12-count, Universal Price Code 0-11110-85474-2, dated GA AUG 10 12; Winn-Dixie Taco Dinner Kit, 12-count, with Universal Price Code 0-21140-20569-8, dated GA AUG 10 12; Hannaford Taco Dinner Kit, 12-count, Universal Price Code 0-41268-17572-7, dated GA AUG 10 12; Hannaford Hard & Soft Taco Dinner Kit, 12-count, Universal Price Code 0-41268-17573-4, dated GA AUG 07 12; and Food Lion Taco Dinner Kit, 12-count Universal Price Code 0-35826-00661-5, dated GA AUG 10 12.
The food products affected by this recall include taco dinner kits sold in Food Lion grocery stores throughout Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Florida, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey and Georgia; Winn-Dixie Supermarkets throughout West Virginia, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi; and Kroger-affiliated retail stores throughout Indiana, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Kansas, Nebraska and Tennessee.
