Stoneberry Recalls Kitchen Table Sets That Pose Fall Hazard

Posted on May 29, 2012

Another product that could be in your home right now has been recalled because of the threat it poses.

The recall concerns a variety of three piece oak kitchen table sets imported from China by the Lake Zurich, Illinois-based Vantage Sales and distributed by the Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin-based Mason Companies.  The table set, which was only available for purchase through stoneberry.com and through Stoneberry’s catalogue, is light pine in color, and the chair is slatted and has a white cushion for users to sit on.  Unfortunately, there’s no way to identify the set by its style number of 404285, as this number can’t be found on the table or the chair.

It was discovered that the the chairs can fall apart while being sat on.  This clearly could injure anyone using the items.  Thankfully, no instances of this event taking place have been reported.  Around 200 table sets in total are affected by this particular recall.

The items were sold in January, February, and March of this year.  The items cost around $160 at that time.  Anyone who believes they may be in possession of the product is being advised to cease using it immediately.  Stoneberry can be contacted directly to receive instructions on how to take the item back and get a complete refund.
