11 people, nine of them kids, were hit by a car in Los Angeles on Wednesday. A 100 year old man was in the driver’s seat of a Cadillac when the vehicle slowly backed into a crowd positioned outside a school, sending four kids to the hospital in critical condition. They have since been stabilized. Although the driver of the vehicle claims that a failure of the brakes led to the incident, a police spokesperson blames driver error. The takeaway for all citizens, though, should be on the importance of getting regular service conducted on a vehicle so as to ensure brakes and various other mechanisms work properly.
