The “Innovators Award” has been given to three Rutgers engineers that were involved in making an app that is meant to curb distracted driving and promote safety. The app, when in use by a driver, forwards incoming incoming text and voice messages so that the driver can access them when the vehicle is turned off. The app reportedly has a 90% rate of success, and is just the latest step forward in the battle against distracted driving. The Inventors Hall of Fame in New Jersey handed out the honor.
