Various safety organizations in the city of San Francisco have partnered to release an interactive map of the city detailing those areas where pedestrian safety is most severely compromised. Thoroughfares highlighted in red on the map are considered to be the most dangerous for pedestrians, while an X indicates a collision and a skull and crossbones indicates a fatality. The California Highway Patrol provided the data that made the map possible.
