XF automobiles that contain a five liter gas engine have been recalled by Jaguar because there is a possibility that the fuel outlet flange of the gas tank could sustain a crack. An estimated 4,195 vehicles of the 2010 through 2012 model years might suffer from this defect. If the crack in the flange leads to fuel leaking out of the vehicle, then an open flame in the area might lead the automobile itself to catch fire. To prevent such an occurrence, Jaguar will alert vehicle owners, who can then bring their vehicles in to a dealer to get a free replacement component. December 7 marks the date at which the recall is expected to be made by.
