1,253 Ram 3500 and 2500 Trucks of the 2013 model year are being recalled by Chrysler because of an issue with the premium headlamps available on these vehicles. The trucks are in danger of running afoul of the Federal Standard governing lamps and reflective devices because of a headlight shutter error that can take place when the driver switches to high-beams. Because of the defect, the driver would potentially be unable to properly see the road in front of them and persons coming the other way could be momentarily blinded. These circumstances could lead to a crash. Once the recall starts next month, owners will hear from Chrysler and be able to bring the vehicles in to a dealer for free repairs.
