Outlander Sport vehicles of the 2011 model year are being recalled by Mitsubishi Motors North America due to a potential issue with the panoramic glass roof. Up to 3,181 vehicles could be affected by the defect, which derives from a mixup that led to adhesive being placed after the primer rather than before. Thus, the glass roof may not stick the way it’s supposed to and could become dislodged from the vehicles while in transit. This could compromise the safety of other automobiles in the vicinity. There’s no word on a starting date for the recall, but owners will be able to bring the vehicles in for an inspection when it begins. A reinstallation will be carried out if the defect is detected.
