The Cleveland, Ohio-based L.D. Kichler has announced the recall of nine-light chandeliers of the Aztec style. A whopping 48,900 chandeliers are potentially affected by the recall, and they would have been sold only at Lowe’s stores across the country between July 2006 and August 2011. These bronze-finished items have a fixture loop designed to keep the lamp itself attached to its hanging chain. Unfortunately, this loop can break, allowing the entire chandelier to come down and harm anyone standing in that spot at the time. Although property damage has been reported in the six incidents that have been made known to the company, there have thankfully not been any reported injuries. Owners are being told to keep the area clear and to get in touch with L.D. Kichler for a repair kit.
