A new report finds a corporal with the Paragould, Arkansas Police Department offering tips on what drivers should do if they’re ever confronted by an accident that has just played out in front of them. In many cases, Move Over Laws don’t apply until emergency personnel arrive on the scene, but if drivers engage in activities that could do further harm to crash victims, they may very well be ticketed for their actions. It’s recommended that drivers lower their speeds when approaching a wreck that just took place. That goes for if officers are or are not on the scene. And instead of gawking, drivers should keep their eyes on the entire environment. Ample space should be given to the wrecked vehicles and anyone in the vicinity.
