Passport and Bullet trailers of the 2013 model year are being recalled by the Keystone RV Company due to an issue that could compromise the safety of other vehicles. 2,336 of these trailers have stabilizer jacks whose mounting fasteners may not be able to adequately do their job. As a result, the jack itself could become dislodged from the vehicles and fall into the road while in transit. Persons in the vicinity of the trailer could then make contact with the jack or their avoidance maneuvers could cause them to crash. The recall should start this month, so RV owners can expect to receive a notification shortly. The trailers can then be brought in to a dealer for new fasteners that shouldn’t suffer from the issue.
