1,208 cartons of green and red bell peppers under the OC Harvest brand are being recalled by Orange County Produce because of a potential foodborne illness threat posed. Three lots in total are affected, and each would have been shipped across Southern California from September 21 to 24. Sample testing by the USDA toward the end of September revealed that the products could suffer from a Salmonella contamination, and those who consume the items could face things like vomiting, nausea, fever, and more. Persons who bought these products up to October 5 (including at a farmers market) are advised to get rid of or bring back the items. No injurious incidents have been reported.
