A possible control loss issue has led to the recall of 1.2 million Ram 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 trucks of the 2003 through 2012 model years by the Chrysler Group. Chrysler believes that around 453,000 of the vehicles in question could suffer from misalignment of the tie rods of the steering system, an occurrence of which could prohibit the driver from being able to properly steer the vehicle. Of the recalled vehicles, two persons have reportedly been injured and six accidents have taken place. In December, Chrysler will start to alert truck owners to the potential issue, at which point those persons will be able to bring their vehicles in to get them fixed.
