The potential failure of a series of dashboard lights that could alert drivers to a possible problem with their vehicles has led to the recall of RAM 3500, 2500, and 1500 trucks by the Chrysler Group. This inability to light up can occur randomly and seemingly without warning on 8,370 vehicles. Therefore, issues with the internal components of the vehicle would not be related to drivers, and if those issues eventually manifest in some type of full-on breakdown, a crash becomes a possibility. The recall is supposed to start at month’s end, at which point owners will start to hear from Chrysler. Updating of the software that governs the instrument cluster will be carried out by dealers once owners bring their vehicles in for repairs. This will be conducted for free.
