Results are beginning to come in from the California Highway Patrol in regard to an increased patrol effort that took part this week. A new report takes a look at those efforts with a particular focus on the Imperial Valley area. The good news is that instances of death or serious injury resulting from traffic collisions were nonexistent, which is in line with last year’s record during the same timeframe, and there were also no crashes related to alcohol consumption, another good sign. However, there was still an arrest made for intoxicated driving and three crashes in total that resulted in property damage. Three injuries also occurred in conjunction with crashes that took place during the period in question.
