Interactive wall mounts are being recalled by the Eagan, Minnesota-based Ergotron because of a possible injury hazard posed. These products, which are used to affix a flatscreen television to the wall, are in danger of letting said television slide off and strike persons in the vicinity. This can result from a failure of the weld holding the mounting ring and plate together. The issue has already led to three incidents that thankfully did not cause any users to incur an injury. 195,000 mounts from across the country are being recalled, and owners of those are being asked to get in touch with Ergotron about repairs; in the meantime, televisions should be taken off of the stands. These items were available between February 2012 and January of last year.
