Panish, has been named President of The Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only group comprised of 100 of the best plaintiff lawyers in the United States who are respected among their peers and who are experienced and skillful in the handling of courtroom trials. Mr. Panish’s induction as President took place on Thursday, August 8 in Dublin, Ireland at the annual Inner Circle of Advocates convention.
“It’s an honor to have been selected as President of the group,” said Mr. Panish. “The members of this organization are exceptional trial lawyers who do extraordinary work helping others and I look forward to being of service to the members.” Since its inception in 1972, The Inner Circle of Advocate’s mission has been to promote the highest standards of courtroom competence and the mutual fellowship and exchange of knowledge among outstanding trial lawyers. As President, Mr. Panish will serve a two-year team and succeed outgoing President, Joseph A. Power, Jr. of Power Rogers & Smith. Mr. Panish previously served as the organization’s Vice President and is succeeded in that role by Judith Livingston of Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore in New York, New York.
A member of The Inner Circle of Advocates since 2005, Mr. Panish has obtained some of the most significant verdicts in United States history on behalf of plaintiffs. His courtroom victories include a $4.9 billion verdict in the landmark products liability case Anderson v. General Motors, as well as over 100 verdicts and settlements in excess of $10 million in personal injury cases, including 33 verdicts over $10 million and six verdicts in excess of $50 million. He consistently serves in a leadership role in the largest personal injury cases in California and the country including the Depuy/ASR Hip Implant litigation, Porter Ranch/Aliso Canyon Gas Well Blowout Litigation, Woolsey Fire Litigation, and Thomas Fire Litigation.
