Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP partner and proud Fresno State Bulldog Brian Panish will be honored by his alma mater and presented with the Distinguished Alumnus Award at the Alumni Association’s Top Dog Alumni Awards on September 20th. Based on scholarship, leadership and service to the University, the Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest alumni honor given and will be presented to Mr. Panish in recognition of his extensive legal accomplishments as well as his generous support of community and University causes.
Mr. Panish graduated from Fresno State in 1980 with a degree in political science before earning his law degree, with honors, from Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles. He was a member of the Fresno State football team during his time as a Bulldog and was previously recognized as the 2010 Top Dog Outstanding Alumnus for the Department of Athletics. Mr. Panish remains actively involved in supporting programs and students attending Fresno State University.
In 2015, Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP donated $100,000 to the California State University, Fresno Foundation to establish the Ana G. Tapia Memorial Scholarship in honor of Ms. Tapia who was killed in a car accident while attending her first year of the Master of Public Health program at Fresno State. Mr. Panish and firm attorney Dan Dunbar represented Ms. Tapia’s family in a wrongful death case arising from the accident. The firm has also served as a sponsor for the University’s Trial Advocacy Team.
The Top Dog Alumni Awards event will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, September 20 at the Save Mart Center on the Fresno State campus. Tickets are $150 per person and reservations are available online at www.fresnostatealumni.com.
