Panish | Shea | Ravipudi LLP partners Brian Panish and Adam Shea have been named among the 2022 West Trailblazers by The American Lawyer. The publication features a handful of lawyers from various practice areas in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming who are agents of change and who have moved the needle in the legal industry.
Brian and Adam are recognized for their work on Freeman v. Board of the Trustees of the California State University resulting in a $39.5 million settlement for plaintiff Marissa Freeman and an agreement from California State University to develop and implement a system-wide policy for heat illness prevention, education, and protocols with input from Dr. Douglas Casa, the head of the Korey Stringer Institute, a heat illness research and advocacy organization. This policy will apply in all academic environments to the nearly 500,000 enrolled students at all 23 California State University campuses.
