Attorneys for nine women have filed a civil lawsuit on their behalf against William “Bill” Cosby Jr. alleging the former actor and comedian sexually assaulted and sexually battered each them. Filed in in the United States District Court, District of Nevada, Southern Division, the women allege in their complaint that the incidents of sexual abuse occurred between 1979 and 1994 after Cosby offered to help each of them with their careers as a pretext to isolate them.

The recent passage of Nevada Revised Statute, Chapter 11; Added by 2023 Nev. SB 129 § 1, which eliminated the statute of limitations for victims of sexual assault and battery who were eighteen and older when the abuse happened, enables these women to proceed with their claims.

With the new law change, I now have the ability to take my assailant Bill Cosby to court. My journey has just begun, but I am grateful for this opportunity to find justice.”
