Plaintiffs Francisco Gomez and Jeovanny Mondragon suffered serious injuries after their vehicle was struck by a truck that failed to yield for a stop sign in Fresno County, California. Defendant Riley Degrinis, driving a SEL Construction Corporation work vehicle, violently crashed into the right side of the plaintiffs’ vehicle. As a result of the collision, 17-year-old Mr. Gomez, the driver, suffered a serious brain injury. Mr. Mondragon, the passenger and longtime friend of Mr. Gomez, also suffered injuries. The defendants settled for the full $5,000,000 policy within a few months of filing the lawsuit.
