Robert Glassman and Jonathan Davidi secured a $12,000,000 settlement for a minor plaintiff who suffered a traumatic brain injury after he was struck by a 70-pound tree branch.
The child was camping in Mayflower County Park in Blythe, California when the branch suddenly fell from above and landed directly on his head. He underwent immediate brain trauma surgery and was placed in a medically induced coma for three weeks in the hospital’s intensive care unit.
The child already had severe Down’s Syndrome, and had nearly recovered to his baseline at the time of settlement, though his life expectancy was likely shortened due to the severity of the injury.
