On Monday May 20th, 2024, a deceased climber was located by Denali National Park mountaineering rangers at 17,000 feet on the West Buttress route. Growing concerned after several days without contact via their InReach device, a family member alerted Denali rangers on Sunday about a missing solo climber on Denali.
