About the Pocket Fire
The cause of the Pocket Fire, along with the other Wine Country conflagrations, is under investigation. So far, investigators have named PG&E as an entity of interest after reports of the utility company’s power components potentially contributing to the fires in Napa and Sonoma counties. If this is the case, fire victims may be able to file individual claims and/or join a class action against the company in pursuit of damage recovery. Here are the latest facts on the Pocket Fire:
- The Pocket Fire began off of Pocket Ranch Road and Ridge Ranch Road in Geyserville. The fire started around 3:30 a.m. on October 9th. It burned 17,357 acres in Sonoma County.

- Combined with the Nuns and Tubbs Fires, the three fires have scorched 110,720 acres, destroyed 6,768 structures, damaged 476 others, and killed 23 civilians.
